LIGHT DYES TO WELCOME A BREEZY SUMMER

As an apprentice of American culture, Japan has a rich denim history that intersects with local artistic skills and taste, gradually forming its own unique denim culture and carving its position as a leader in a new generation’s aesthetics. Levi’s® embraces this one-of-a-kind environment by teaming up with Japanese craftsmen to create a Made In Japan collection that combines craftsmanship, aesthetics, and culture.
Japanese denim manufacturer KAIHARA has always maintained a high standard for its quality. For its 2022 Spring/Summer, KAIHARA fabricated a special 10-ounce light denim fabric specifically for the hotter months, opening the door to a new chapter for Made In Japan. This fabric is especially light dyed, which requires less number of times in the dipping process. This results in a lighter blue wash perfect for summer and a softer touch for the body.
For this season, Levi’s® continues “Green is born out of blue” as its core spirit, deeply exploring Japanese culture and in particularly of its island lifestyle. The collection embraces the romance and imagination of summer in Japan, straying away from the conventional city landscape and embracing the minimalistic, classic designs beloved by Levi’s® fans.
All new Levi’s® Made in Japan collection is available now at Time Square and Langham Place stores.
