The Levi’s® Vintage Clothing Spring/Summer 2021 collection channels the aesthetic and energy of the generation that birthed modern rave culture: the 1980s Manchester acid house scene. With vintage graphics, looser fits and the bold colors that defined the bygone era, this collection transports you back to the '80s and onto the dance floor of the Haçienda, the iconic nightclub that served as epicenter of the Manchester music scene.
The Happy Mondays were a seminal band of the Manchester acid house scene. This season, we worked with the family of artists behind their distinctive transparent sleeve designs, Central Station. These special pieces are a tribute to Happy Mondays, Central Station and the independent record label that defined a generation — Factory Records.
This limited-edition graphic T-shirt pays homage to the Happy Mondays and their penchant for graphic, whimsical album artwork. This tee features Central Station's original artwork from the 1986 album "Squirrel and G‑Man Twenty Four Hour Party People Plastic Face Carnt Smile," using the text from its clear sleeve.
